Vector NTI® Suite v.6 expands upon the features of this industry-leading sequence analysis and data management program by adding enhanced internet connectivity that connects users with relevant websites directly from program applications without requiring a web browser. Expanded database capabilities allow the results of BLAST and Entrez searches to be saved for later use. Retrieved sequences also contain hyperlinks to the relevant internet databases. 3D-Mol, a desktop protein molecule viewer with a wide variety of display options and the ability to show structural comparisons between aligned protein sequences, has also been added.

Vector NTI Suite consists of four major application programs: Vector NTI for mapping and illustration, primer design and analysis, and strategic recombinant design; BioPlot for protein and nucleic acid sequence analysis; AlignX for multiple sequence alignment; and ContigExpress for sequencing project management and fragment assembly.
