Readme for PocketGrandmaster for Smartphone 1.1

PocketGrandmaster for Smartphone is a chess program for Windows
powered Smartphones running Smartphone 2002. It features a strong
engine, three chess sets and various boards, many different levels,
an openingbook and a training mode.


Installation (SetupPGMS.exe)
----------------------------

PocketGrandmaster for Smartphone comes as a self-extracting zipfile
PGMS.exe. When you run the file on your desktop pc, you can select
a folder and PGMS.exe will extract the following files to the selected 
folder:

ReadMe.txt                      - this ReadMe
SetupPGMS.exe                   - run to install PocketGrandmaster on your Smartphone
PocketGrandmaster.STRONGARM.CAB - .cab-file containing PocketGrandmaster for Smartphone
PocketGrandmaster.htm           - Helpfile describing all features.
PGMS.ini                        - .ini-file needed by SetupPGMS.exe
PGMS.ico                        - PocketGrandmaster icon


To install PocketGrandmaster, connect your Windows powered Smartphone
to your desktop pc, let it synchronize and run SetupPGMS.exe.
It starts the Windows CE Application Manager, which installs 
PocketGrandmaster on your Smartphone.

You can now open the "Programs - Games"-menu on your Smartphone to
run PocketGrandmaster.



Installation (PocketGrandmaster.STRONGARM.CAB)
----------------------------------------------

In case you have downloaded PocketGrandmaster.STRONGARM.CAB directly 
"over the air", or if installation using SetupPGMS.exe did not work you 
can alternatively copy the file PocketGrandmaster.STRONGARM.CAB to the 
"Start Menu"-folder of your Smartphone:

1. ActiveSync your Smartphone and browse the the "Start Menu"-folder
   (usually: "Mobile Device\My Smartphone\IPSM\Windows\Start Menu")
 
2. Copy the file PocketGrandmaster.STRONGARM.CAB to the "Start Menu"
   and wait until it is completely transferred to the Smartphone.

3. Now take your Smartphone, open the "Start Menu", select 
   PocketGrandmaster.STRONGARM.CAB and press the actionkey to activate 
   it. This installs PocketGrandmaster on your Smartphone.

Note: do not unzip the .CAB-file on your desktop-pc.
