Temporary Drive 1.5 - plugin for Total Commander 5.5 and newer ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This plugin is freeware and is provided "as-is", so you use it at your own risk and the author will not response for data loss, damages, etc. TempDrive allows you to collect links to files from your disks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install plugin, proceed as follows: 1. Unzip the archive to an empty directory 2. Choose Configuration->Options->Operation->FS-Pugins 3. Click "Add" 4. Go to the directory where you unzip the archive and choose TempDrive.wfx 5. Click OK. You can now access the plugin in "Network Neighborhood" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This plugin provides the well-known interface of directories and files. You can: - Create directories - Copy files and directories to the plugin - Copy/Move files and directories from the plugin - Delete files and directories from the plugin - Rename files - Change file attributes - Import M3U and DiskDir files - other... When you copy files and/or directories to the plugin, it stores only links to the original files (files' contents are not copied). You cannot move the file or directory to the plugin because it does not copies file's contents and there should exist the copy of the file on your disk (if you copy some file to the plugin and then delete it from you disk, it will be automatically deleted from the plugin). If you change file attributes of some file in the plugin, then these changes will be applied to the file on your disk. You can also change the name of the file, but this change will not be applied to the file on your disk and the original file name will remain intact. When you move or copy file and/or directory to your disk then real files from original locations are copied to the desired place, but the names of destination files are taken from plugin. Namely, if you rename some file in the plugin, then the new file name will be used. When you delete the file or directory from the plugin, original files aren't affected. When you copy the file with 'm3u' or 'lst' extension to the plugin, it asks if you want to parse this file and copy to the plugin those files that are listed in this file. All data that you copy to the plugin is stored when you close Total Commander. The plugin can be customized. In order to display the configuration dialog, you should execute 'config' command while you are in the plugin (type 'config' in the command line and press ). You can change following options: - Language of messages (russian/english) - Whether to store data on disk - Whether to delete the source files while moving from the plugin - Import mode: if you select 'Auto', then you will not be prompted about parsing the appropriate files, they will be parsed automatically. If you select 'Never', then no files will be parsed at all.
